Cookies & privacy choices
Last updated: 17 October 2026
Cookies and similar technologies can save information on your device. This page explains the choices on my website. I haven't added advertising or analytics tools to these public pages.
Remembering the WhatsApp chat choice
Closing the chat doesn't need to save anything. If you tick “Remember my choice on this device”, I store a preference called peaspaws-chat-preference in your browser's local storage so the automatic chat prompt stays closed on later visits. It doesn't contain your name or enquiry.
This optional preference stays until you clear it below or clear your browser storage. You can still open WhatsApp using the chat button.
Google Maps is optional
The contact page doesn't load Google Maps until you choose “Allow Google Maps”. Before you choose, the map box explains that Google will receive your IP address and may use cookies or similar technologies. You can leave it off and use the written address instead.
Your map permission applies only while that contact page stays open. “Hide map” removes the embedded map; it doesn't delete cookies Google has already set. Use your browser settings to remove those. A directions link opens Google Maps separately, under Google's own privacy and cookie policies.
Fonts, hosting and links
The fonts are loaded from Google, which receives connection information such as your IP address. Website hosting may use technical information to deliver and protect the pages. This page describes my public website; editor preview tools can have separate storage for their own operation.
WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Google links open those providers when you choose them. The contact form also opens a WhatsApp link containing the details you entered; you still choose whether to send the message.
Read Google's cookie notice and WhatsApp's privacy notice for their practices.
