Dog walking in Thorney: small groups

Some dogs really enjoy having company on a walk. I'm Ellie, and I offer small group dog walks in Thorney for dogs who are comfortable together. Small matters to me because I want to pay attention to the dogs, not simply move a crowd along. Before we discuss a group place, I'd like to hear about your dog's usual walks and how they feel around others.
A group isn't automatically the best option for a sociable dog, and it isn't something a worried dog has to learn to put up with. I offer solo walks too. We can talk honestly about which sort of outing would feel right, without treating a one-to-one walk as a second choice.
Matching more than the diary
I look at temperament, confidence, energy and walking pace when considering a group. A dog who plays happily with a familiar friend may behave differently beside dogs they don't know. Tell me about the situations yours enjoys and any that make them tense. Please mention pulling, excitement or wanting extra space, so I have a useful picture rather than just a description of their breed.
Compatibility comes before filling a group. I keep groups small enough to give the dogs attention and consider how they behave together, rather than adding a dog simply because another lead could fit. I don't advertise a fixed number here; we'll discuss the actual arrangement before agreeing it. If the match doesn't feel right, we can talk about a solo walk instead.
Space to sniff, and someone paying attention
Dogs can enjoy the same outing in different ways. One may spend ages investigating a smell while another is ready to move. I take their pace into account and keep an eye on how they're getting on, not just where we're going. Let me know your instructions about leads and handling, and anything you want me to be particularly aware of.
My group walks are GPS-tracked, with photos and notes sent through the Pea's Paws app. You can catch up on the outing and hear how your dog did. If something changes at home that might affect the walk, tell me. An update about their confidence or routine helps me think about the next outing as well as the one we've already arranged.
A bit about me and the other options
I'm DBS checked, first aid trained and fully insured, and I've got over 20 years of pet care experience. My training includes dog first aid and emergency canine care. My own dogs are Pea, Mouse and Isla, and they remind me how different dogs can be even in the same household. Knowing a dog's individual habits is important to me.
If company at home is what your dog needs, ask about drop-ins or puppy visits instead. I also offer pet sitting for cats and small pets. Send me your Thorney location and the days you're hoping for so I can check availability. Doggy day care at Lodge Farm Dog Park is coming soon, but it isn't open for bookings.
A few things you might be wondering
How do you decide which dogs walk together?
I consider temperament, confidence, energy, pace and how dogs behave around others. We discuss your dog before agreeing a group arrangement.
How big are the groups?
I keep groups small so I can pay attention to the dogs. I'll discuss the actual group with you rather than promise a fixed number on this page.
What if my dog would rather walk alone?
That's fine. I offer solo walks too, and we can discuss those if a group isn't a comfortable match.
Will I get photos from a group walk?
Yes. I send photos and notes through the Pea's Paws app, and group walks are GPS-tracked.
A little more about what I do
Would company suit your dog?
Tell me about their usual walks and how they get on with other dogs. We can talk about a small group or a solo outing.
