Dog walking in Peterborough

Hi, I'm Ellie, and I offer dog walking in Peterborough and the villages nearby. If being out at work or away from home leaves a gap in your dog's day, I can help with a walk. It might be a regular arrangement, or a bit of help when your usual plans change. Tell me where you live and what you need, and I'll check the days with you.
I offer solo walks and small group walks, rather than expecting every dog to enjoy the same outing. A dog who wants a person to themselves is just as welcome as one who likes walking with company. My own dogs, Pea, Mouse and Isla, have their own ways of doing things. I'd like to learn about yours too.
Starting with your dog, not a timetable
Before we agree a walk, I'd like to hear how your dog spends their day. Are they used to a quiet outing, or do they enjoy seeing other dogs? Tell me about their lead, their usual pace and anything that makes them uncomfortable. You don't need to make them sound easy. The useful details are the honest ones, including the things you're still working on together.
We can talk about whether a one-to-one walk or a small group would fit. I match groups with compatibility in mind, not just because the dogs happen to live near each other. If a group isn't right, a solo walk gives your dog time outside without having to manage other dogs alongside them.
Knowing how the walk went
My walks are GPS-tracked, and I send photos and notes through the Pea's Paws app. You can see the outing and hear how your dog got on, rather than wondering about it until you get home. Please tell me if there's something particular you want me to keep an eye on. A note about their mood or a change in their usual behaviour can be useful too.
I'm DBS checked, first aid trained and fully insured, with over 20 years of pet care experience. I've completed dog first aid and emergency canine care training. Those are part of how I prepare for looking after animals; listening to your instructions matters just as much. I'll talk through your dog's needs before we settle on an arrangement.
When a visit at home makes more sense
Sometimes a walk isn't the missing piece. A puppy may need a toilet break and company, while another pet needs feeding and water checked. I also offer pet sitting and drop-in visits. Let me know which animals are at home and what needs doing. We can discuss the help that fits, without turning every enquiry into a walking booking.
I cover Thorney, Crowland, Eye, Whittlesey, Peterborough, Deeping St James and Spalding. Availability depends on the dates and visits you're asking about, so please include your location when you get in touch. My day care at Lodge Farm Dog Park is coming soon, not open yet.

Is a solo walk an option?
Yes. If your dog prefers their own space, we can talk about a one-to-one walk instead of a small group.
