Dog walking in Whittlesey

Four dogs sitting and standing together on a wooden hurdle in a green field

A walk can be one of the best bits of a dog's day, even when it's mostly stopping and sniffing. I'm Ellie, and I offer dog walking in Whittlesey for dogs who need that time outside when their person can't be there. Tell me whether you're looking for regular help or an occasional walk, and we'll check the dates before making any plans.

My walks can be one-to-one or in a small group of compatible dogs. There isn't one option that's better for everyone. Your dog's pace, confidence and feelings about other dogs matter. I want to hear how they usually behave on a walk, not squeeze them into a group because it happens to be convenient.

Making room for their own pace

An older dog may enjoy a slow wander and a bit of company. A younger dog may be keen to get moving, then spend ages investigating one patch of ground. Please tell me about the things your dog enjoys and any limits you want me to keep in mind. I'll discuss those details with you rather than assume age or breed tells the whole story.

If other dogs make yours uneasy, we can talk about a solo walk. If they enjoy company, I'll look at whether a small group could work. I consider temperament, energy and how dogs behave together. A group needs to feel right for the dogs in it; it isn't just a matter of putting several leads in one hand.

Photos, notes and a tracked outing

I GPS-track my walks and send photos and notes through the Pea's Paws app. You can catch up on what your dog has been doing while you're away. If there's something specific you'd like me to notice, tell me before the walk. I know it's often the small details that matter when you're handing your animal over to someone else.

I've cared for pets for over 20 years. I'm DBS checked, first aid trained and fully insured, and I've completed dog first aid and emergency canine care training. At home I have Pea, Mouse and Isla, as well as my horses Silver and Rupert. Looking after different animals keeps me mindful that their routines and needs aren't interchangeable.

A walk, a visit, or a bit of both

If you're out for a long part of the day, let me know what needs doing at home as well as outside. I offer drop-in visits, puppy visits and pet sitting, with feeding, water checks and letting dogs out among the jobs we can discuss. If you have cats or small pets too, tell me about them. We can work through the care you actually need.

Whittlesey is part of my service area alongside Thorney, Crowland, Eye and Peterborough. I'll check your location and the times you're hoping for before agreeing a visit. My doggy day care at Lodge Farm Dog Park is still coming soon, so please ask about existing walks or home visits if you need help now.
